Thibault Mechler is a musician, composer, and sound researcher.1
His artistic approach is based on collecting, extracting, and spatializing sonic textures.
Through his background in law, he researches politics and processes of listening as a way to forge communities, create spaces and witness the unfolding of narratives. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate at Sciences Po Law School in Paris and was an exchange student at Harvard Law School (2024-2025). His doctoral thesis explores the act of listening in judicial proceedings and the concept of "acoustic justice".
In 2016, he founded Équipe Créative with a group of researchers to organize artistic initatives.2
Since 2022, he forms a duo with artist Juliana Zepka.3
