GEBOUW E: THE BOILER HOUSE

Gebouw E : The Boiler House is an assemblage of archival material collected at the former Philips factory in Roermond, The Netherlands. The archive created is a testimony of the time spent during a 3 month residency researching whether energy is still present on an industrial site long after its activity had been shut down, as an archaeological gesture of patience and attention. The project consists in a polyphonic sound installation made from 16 field recordings mapping the sounds inside the remaining pipe installation of the former Boiler Room and a publication sharing memories and impressions on light, sounds and architectural features of the building as a ghost factory.
